چکیده

Bitumen’s self-healing capability is critical to the bitumen industry’s sustainable development. This work attempts examine property and fatigue behavior of using waste cooking oil (WCO) polyphosphoric acid (PPA) in modification. Different components WCO were mixed with PPA for initial The linear amplitude sweep (LAS) test was used evaluate modified bitumen. To assess extent healing after a fatigue-healing test, evaluation indicators, including life recovery (FLR), modulus (MR), dissipated energy (DER), selected. Meanwhile, radar chart analyze integrated performance WCO/PPA (WP)-modified Lastly, SARA fractions separated from modification mechanism. It observed that inclusion enhanced behavior. For 2% an intermediate component (IC) WCO, LAS prediction model showed extreme values, increase 669% over virgin Regardless concentration, considerable FLR, MR, DER seen processed IC compared Additionally, as time extended, increment bitumen’s indicators higher than results indicated adding changes soluble state gel state. An innovative approach has been proposed promote development within industry.

Rheological properties of modified Bitumen: Comparison of waste polymers’ performance

In this investigation, rheological properties of three different polymer-modified bitumen compounds containing recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET), crumb rubber (CR) and poly (styrene-butadiene-styrene) (SBS) are evaluated and compared. The modified samples were tested by a dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) where complex modulus (G*), phase angle (δ) and rutting resistance (G*/Sinδ) of spec...

Rutting and Fatigue Cracking Resistance of Waste Cooking Oil Modified Trinidad Asphaltic Materials

The influence of waste cooking oil (WCO) on the performance characteristics of asphaltic materials indigenous to Trinidad, namely, Trinidad Lake Asphalt (TLA), Trinidad Petroleum Bitumen (TPB), and TLA : TPB (50 : 50) blend, was investigated to deduce the applicability of the WCO as a performance enhancer for the base asphalt. The rheological properties of complex modulus (G (∗) ) and phase ang...

Investigation of the possibility of using waste cooking oil as a rejuvenating agent for aged bitumen.

The ageing of the bitumen during storage, mixing, transport and laying on the road, as well as in service life, are the most important problems presented by the use of bitumen in pavements. This paper investigates the possibility of using waste cooking oil (WCO), which is a waste material that pollutes landfills and rivers, as an alternative natural rejuvenating agent for aged bitumen to a cond...
